  • In-play query

    Hi,
Just purchased the Toy and am using simulation mode.

I am using the In-Play function but when I place a bet at a certain price, it seems to place it at the current price.

As I say this is in simulation mode but I assume the same thing will happen in live mode.

I`m sure I`m doing something wrong. Can anyone help?

If the current price is better than the price you asked for then you get the better price.
If you want more luck... Take more chances!

You'll have to provide more information before anybody can help you. You need to be specific about the type of bet you want to make, back or lay, and give an indication of prices you seek and those which are current.

A screen shot would be handy.

Thanks, I forgot Bf always gives you the best price.

What I`m thinking of doing is a sort of "reverse trading".

Any time I try the back/lay trading it eventually goes south, so I thought I`d try it the other way. Lay a selection and if the back price goes down to a certain level put the corresponding amount on. If it doesn`t reach that price you win if it does you lose.

Probably not very original and it will have been tried but I would think you really need a Bot to wait until it hits that price to cut you`re liability. Don`t know if the toy does that.

Read the manual and familiarise yourself with the tick offset tool and all its variations.

Please bear in mind that tools do not always work as you would wish them to. This is particularly the case in markets which have many gaps in prices. These restrictions also prevent bots from working "perfectly" too. So, stick to The Toy until you are more familiar with trading.
