Has somebody of you experiences with financial bets on betfair, especially the 20min up and down FTSE100 market?

I have dabbled in it but to be honest if you want to do it seriously then you will need to pay for realtime streaming market data. none of the free services will be fast enough. You also need to be aware the timings of major announcements, UK/US Job Results, Retail spending and various other economic announcements. they happen at specific times during the day and can influence market dramatically. Also company reports for major companies in a sector (eg BP announced 4.5B loss this will impact the sector as a whole)

if you google FTSE trading Betfair you will find a few forums that might give you more insight. Unless you are going to arm yourself with the correct information sources I would avoid it as it will just eat up your money. Most of the people trading will have the real time feeds so you might as well flip a coin and decide FTSE up or down

          to ivo2009:
how about considering the "spread betting"? you can find UK brokers offering SP for as low as 50 cents per point on indexes, shares, commodities, interest rates, cross rates, forex with something as high as 150 times yr bet in the worst case as margin. Feking risky but at least you get real time streaming chart/prices and try to beat the house with some better weapon.

or you can try bet365 for FTSE100 and DJ30 [aha Wall Street] (almost) real time charts: http://www.sportgiochi365.com/home/d...=1&lng=1&tid=1 to get some clue abt what the hell is going on in the Largest Worldwide Casino

I have made 2,500 quid this week already with Fixed Odds Financial betting. Betting on the stock market is great. Low risk but you can win a lot. I started with 200 pounds about a month ago!
Learning about this was so easy, it only took about 15 minutes and I've cashed in big time with no prior trading, betting or financial knowledge. Well worth a go.

ours is the country where people, in spite of what's happening, keep on saying (and shamelessly believing it...):

"who else have we got?... after all he's just a sinner, a venial one... who wouldn't enjoy young chicks lining up to get banged having the chance?..."

"Along all these years He was the only one able to bring Italy's prestige back to top level..." and they manage not to laugh while stating this last crap.

only 2 over 10 of us are able to sustain a very basic conversation in English, 1 over 15 to read a newspaper page, 1 over 30 to speak and write fluently. Percentages are all alike if you take any other foreign language (even feking Spanish!!! which could be easily heard as a brother-dialect by any wop-barely-sapiens-sapiens...). But a huge bunch of bigot assholes swear to god our international prestige had never been so high... pathetic...

easy to forget His involvement/acquaintances with mafia, secret mason lodges, dictators, and basically any scum one can think of...

Ok, I trade FX most days; you need a live feed that updates very frequently plus access to news announcements eg Ransquawk plus you have to know when the fixed announcements are out (forexfactory.com is good). Additionally, you have to know what the hell the announcements mean. Having an idea about bonds and rates helps. Bear in mind, though, that you're now competing with economics PhDs in major institutions. That's the FA covered. But you also need to have an understanding of TA. (If you're now wondering what FA and TA means, you might be better off staying away.)

In my experience of financial trading, binary betting and other derivatives of the underlying market are best suited to the professionals and very experienced who want to use these instruments to optimise their trading. The rest ie us should stick to learning to trade the underlying.

Oh, and stay away from scalping (which is what the binaries on betfair are for); learn to swing and position trade as the market moves slower (relatively-speaking) and you're less likely to go crazy/degen/chase.

But you're welcome to try, anyway. You've been warned so you can take my advice or learn the hard way (which is what most people tend to do, anyway).

If you want to learn to trade FX or any other underlying market, I am more than happy to give you a guiding hand in the right direction.
