Hi all,
Was just thinking the other day how much of trading is effected by how you are feeling physically? Im sure were all aware that in order to be a profitable trader its important to be in the right state of mind but after a poorer result yesterday it come to my attention i was trading a little tiered and it was likely this could of been part of it... it made me think of a certain someones blog that suggests its important to stay hydrated, but how far do you go?? I googled a few things and am going to try them out today to see if it works. A few im gonna try..
1. Take regular breaks (every 30 mins)
2. Regulate breathing, relax (aids focus apparently)
3. Close down any possible distrations (silent room)
4. Correct lighting
5. Exercise (went for a run this morning)
6. Stay hydrated (200ml hour)
7. 8 hours sleep (done)
8. Remove caffine and stimulants (avoids peaks and lows)
Other thing i found that are more long term but interesting is you are likely to increase your own mental endurance and focus from things like sudoku and brain trainning exercises... might be a thought
If anyone's got anything else please add
Chuck
