    League winning side - Acquired

    Transfer dealings - Complete

    Form - Terrible

    Next Prem matches;

    Sunderland (A)

    Southampton (H)

    Stoke (H)

    Fulham (H)

If United can come through these with 12 points, the pressure is off. If not - and depending on how the CL / League Cup fixtures go, Arsenal on November 10th at Old Trafford could be a HUGE game for team and Manager.

Perhaps this is another case of the manager who previously did well with limited resources not cutting it at the highest level?

    You have to laugh anyway

Last season: Played 38 Lost 5
This season: Played 6 lost 3

      It doesn't look good!

I think UTD and the fans have to give him time. As a MUFC fan I wanted Mourinho to succeed Fergie, but I wasn't disappointed when Moyes got the job. The problem is if you sack your manager after 10, 15, 20 games, then that adds to the pressure of any new manager coming in. In all top level sport the slightest change can effect performance, and bad performance effects morale, and then it's a downward spiral. You can't change the manager of 27 years and expect the same results instantly. I don't want ManU to be like Chelsea and Man City who sack their (successful) managers whenever they fail to win the league.
If Moyes' can get the team playing well then the confidence will grow and the results will follow (hopefully).
If we get relegated we'll fire Moyes'... and DB can be in charge.

I love it when the big teams lose as it's so much more fun. United do not have players that can strike fear into the opposition and, while they are all of a high standard, there is nobody who I would rate as a great player. To be fair to Wayne Rooney he seems to have worked hard on his fitness and I think he is the best of them at present.

I'm not being childish. Just ask the supporters of the other big clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City which United player they would love to have playing for their team. Nobody - all of a certain ability but no superstars.

I hope that they continue to lose to those teams who previously would not be given a chance of beating them as I can make money.

Even Swansea have players who excite, United don't.

Fergie's record when he took over was terrible but they stuck with him and he was knighted for it
When I die and they lay me to rest,
I'm gonna get pissed with Georgie Best

Surely you would consider Van Persie as a great player? On the whole I agree with your post but RVP is world class imo.

Yes, I do but he has been out of action. The rest of the players are not in the same class as him. A great football team has to be able to cope with the loss of a star and United cannot. Only Rooney and van Persie would find it relatively easy to find a place in the other top teams in the Premier League. My local teams, Cardiff and Swansea, are capable of beating any team on their day and the days of "bankers" would seem to be numbered. This has to be good for the game and good for traders.

It makes the season very interesting. Lesser teams will fancy their chances against United now and God knows what might happen.

It's always been that way though. United never have that 'superstar' who can change the game in an instant - the exceptions being Cantona and Ronaldo. These people who say 'Giggs is the best player the premier league has ever seen' are having a laugh. That was Fergie's magic; he created team after team of great players, but no individual would be allowed to become bigger than the club.
Last year when we had Real Madrid in the CL, on paper it looked liked we had little chance. Madrid's superstars against Rafael, Wellbeck, Jones etc. But we outplayed them (2nd leg) and had them on the ropes. Only for a harsh red card and a Modric wonder goal to change it all.
United have never played exciting football, they just work well as a team.

They were always going to be up against it this year even if SAF would still of been there.Look at some of the signings and young players coming through this season makes it the strongest the Premier league has ever been...Arsenal seem to have pulled one of the best deals in a long time with Ozil who fits like a glove and is looking like one of the best players in the world with some potentially world class youngsters around him.Spurs have an immense squad with some great talent in each position and a rock solid defence,Paulinho looks to have a right touch on him.Chelsea have an awesome squad too but like Man City are still looking for their best team and formation...Then Liverpool are playing great stuff, what Brendon R has done with them is great and he was a clever signing by the board...Then theres Villa,West Brom,Cardiff,Swansea and Everton who seem to have come on from last season all with potential terrace legends playing for them...What a league.........Just missing Leeds

Funny you should mention the young players coming through, my cousin was a ManUre coach (youths) up until this season [link], now moved to Leicester - next time I see him I will ask who he coached that has made it to the top flight.

Rumors are abound after a betting firm, can’t remember which, reported large money being placed on Shiralex coming out of retirement, albeit for the Irish national side.

I'm a Man U fan and hope this is just a bit of a stumble rather than a collapse.

Moyes proved himself a top manager at Everton and the United squad has barely changed since winning the Prem at a canter a few months ago.

I think, given time, United will settle down and get back to consistent winning ways.

It makes the League more interesting when there are no 'gimme' games for the top clubs.

I was going to do a double on both Manchester clubs getting beaten on Saturday, but I thought no way were United going to lose at home to West Brom

                        Wrong.

                          Schalke 4 Man Utd 0

I am confident that there will be goals in this game and that both Manchester teams will lose tonight. Usually, when I have strong views on results, I overstake and end up losing but if I don't follow my gut feeling and I don't bet, I throw several wobblies. Too many games for me and I could lose big time if I'm not careful.

If United get hammered, there will lots of cards too.

And, I think that Shaktar Donetsk will beat them 4 - 0 tonight . told you there were too many games for me, fortunately, those nice Russian people in Moscow have given me a winning start after just 39 minutes. Now, I have even more money to lose tonight.
