  • What If

I still can't get my head around this tool. On betfair, if my bet is winning, I can easily see the results of opposing my winning bet by varying ammounts. All I have to do is enter varying ammounts and all results will be show. I can easily adjust this by entering different settings.
How does this work in Geeks Toy?

Still learning myself so I'm not sure if it's the best way, but I open the profit window from the menu on the left and enter the varying amounts there; it shows best and worse scenarios

There really isn't any difference between the Betfair 'what if' and AGT's 'what if'. Instead of using the arrows on the Betfair website to adjust your odds, the cursor on AGT fulfills this role, i.e., when your mouse is on the ladder, the 'what if' shown at the top will be whatever price your cursor is on, multiplied by the stake setting that you currently have.

In the two examples shown, I have placed £10 @ 4.1. First on the website, then on AGT. I have my stake button set to £10 and my cursor is on the Back side of the ladder at odds of 4.1. Can you see that the 'what if' is exactly the same?

Thanks for that great demo. The way your bet is displayed there - is that bet placed or do you have the option to try different ammounts before placing it?
I'd love to sort this out because it's the only issue I have with the software.
Once again, thanks for taking the trouble to demonstrate this.

On the title bar of the ladder, right click to bring up the menu. Go all the way down to LADDER LAYOUT. In there you should have a PROFIT/LOSS side menu. If you choosE OWN COLUMN you will have all your what ifs for every odd range on the ladder.

          No thanks necessary.

Not only is it good to know your potential position at all odds levels, but this also acts as a button to hedge the exact amount to make that happen.

You've all been a great help. Could I just ask you one more question? Is it possible to have a ladder open just for the draw in a football match, and what is the minimum number of rows in a ladder that I have to have open?

When the ladder is open for a football match right click on the top and go to ladder layout where you can select number of columns as one. Then select draw from the ladder selector in the main window.

I'm gonna get pissed with Georgie Best

Sorry about this - I can follow it up to the first instruction. and then I can't find any mention of a draw in the second bit.

Have you managed to get just one ladder ? If so, click on the name of that ladder and it will give you the option of replacing it with the "draw" ladder.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have one ladder for the game between Stockport and Wrexham. The ladder is for Stockport. When I click the name, I get all possibilities of a result excet the draw!

It sounds like you have the correct score market open, rather than match odds ...

Sorry, I missed it. The software works perfectly for me. My single ladder is initially Stockport, I left click the name "Stockport" and I can change to the "Draw".
