When clicking on the green up button in-running, it sometimes fails to register resulting in huge training bank losses. Is this just an issue when in betfair training mode?

No, it's not, it applies to the live mode as well. During a race the prices change very rapidly and the green figure shown is not going to be available at all times. In fact, in very fast markets it may not be attained other than on a few odd occasions.Originally posted by mitch View Post
A possible way around it is to place your bets in anticipation of market moves so as to get them towards the front of the queues to be matched. Using the tick offset tool is one possible way. Alternatively, do some preparatory work (arithmetic ) and place appropriate stakes manually.
It is easy to be tempted to be greedy when trading in-running. Once the market turns against you, you have no chance of preventing a loss. Better to trade out early with a profit. -
Yep exactly why I started greening up far before the finish line... Happened more than once having a nice "possible" hedge figure (100+) and ending up with 10000 profit on the losing horse and tremendous red on the winning one... payed to learn
