There appeared to be some sort of API issue this morning; some of my (less than spectacular) home brewed code which talks to BF was failing earlier.

All seems to be fine now though.

everytime i try to load, it crashes

If none of those cure it & The Toy was previously working OK on your PC, do a Windows system restore back the the point in time it was last working.
