No. But the logic is that if 2 goals are scored, then the lines 1 & 2 are both winners etc. This means there can be multiple winners in a market.

    What's new in version 1.2

Are you sure that is correct, TG?

I am sure that Geek is correct about multiple winners. Ordinarily a market has one winner (ignoring horse place markets ) but in this market there are many. So, if one bets Over 3 successfully, and there are more than 3 goals, obviously more than 2 goals and more than 1 goal will also be winners.

This market is not like a horse race market with only one winner. The programmer would have to take into account the multiple winners in his logic and it could become very complicated.

If it was working before, it should be working now. I have a feeling it's never been a feature. In the example you provide above, try placing a second bet on a different result in the same market and see what happens. These "winners" are not mutually exclusive.

What version is this, please ? I've not even looked at this particular market for at least five years and only did so then to see if there was a direct relationship with the Over 2.5 market.

If it worked before why doesn't it work in the latest versions, the more so if Geek has not altered anything ?

Are the "what if" figures correct, please ? I can't check as I can't see the individual bets. It is a difficult market to get one's head around and I can see a programmer's possible difficulties.

2 * £10 bets, one on 3 goals or more, the other on 5 goals or more - the “what if” figures are correct.

But, (ellipsis ) is this a pic of the main Betfair site ? Not The Toy ?

Yes, the screenshot is from the Betfair website, to show how the website deals with the bets.

Sorry if I have only confused the issue. I acknowledge that the main Betfair site deals with this properly. I have a strong feeling that The Toy has never dealt with it in any of its previous versions.

The market is really weird in that it has liquidity which seems to follow no logic in its constituent lines. Geek has mentioned a possible cause of difficulty in programming The Toy for such a market.

You and the original poster are correct that it doesn't work now in The Toy. I am saying it never has worked. Geek seems to think the same as me.

Yes, it has probably never worked for whatever reason.

More than likely no one has picked up on the issue because Total Goals is not a popular market.

It's as Geek said originally. The Betfair site doesn't work properly either as the two lines do not have any regard to losses or profits overall. It's as though there is a blanket name of "Total Goals" but the "what if" thingies regard each line as a separate entity as though each was a different market and not linked to another line.

So, it hasn't worked before and, presumably, will not work in future either.

So you are saying if I placed a bet on “3 goals or more” and the game’s result ended 2-1 I will win on “1 goal or more”, “2 goals or more” and “3 goals or more”?

If that is the case then that is the same as laying 0-0, but with a greatly reduced liability - the lack of liquidity points to the above example not being the case.

No, of course not. Each line behaves as a separate market without regard to bets placed on other lines. The example you provided showed lack of liquidity in 4+ and 5+.

It's just a weird part of the football markets and the individual lines have been lumped together for convenience by Betfair.

That is the point! The lines are independent and not linked!

If I were to lay two horses in one race and they both lost, would I not have multiple winners in one market?
