The Toy is definitely a lot faster for me as well compared to recent releases, ping around 40 as well. No problems trading the 14.50 in play, but the other two freeze ups worry me

Had a quick dabble today, Noticed my latency seemed to of improved a bit although its still increasing drastically in the final stages to post. Feels smoother than the other editions but by no means fixed with bets going in/cancelling slowly... makes scalping pretty hard.
Noticed a couple of freezes today too which others have reported on the forum elsewhere in the 2.20 and 2.30 more specifically so don't know if its the software or the API.

Gonna have a couple more days off or maybe try Betdaq.

So - my general conclusion - The Toy is much better than the last version - I mean really much. There was no problem with the hedging - It was obviously my problem. However the toy freezed for 4-5 second. here:

Something hapened while I tried to close bet again - the price went down suddenly while I had a lay bet - I tried to close - I put a bet on the 1st price to close - it didn't hapen and try price went more down. So I tried to place new bet, but then "Error placing bet" sign was shown. I tried to close it - with X - So after I clicked the X - the toy froze for 4-5 seconds. Nothing hapened - I couldn't move - the prices didn't move. There was not red sign on the Market % API status (shwoing that red when the API freeze) so it was just the toy freezing.

Also I noticed that its getting more sluggish till it gets near the off too (like Chuck said). Maybe this is a pitfall, its harder to trade there.
Overal this is the best we got so far. I managed to make some money today :P So again - please if you make new version don't make offline this one, at least until we check the new ones I can say - Good Job, because - lets just say it - The Toy is The Toy - much better than anything else :P

You should to record video so your issues become a bit more understandable.

I have deleted Portugals posts from this thread. He claims the error has been happening for some moths now and is not related to this release. However he first reported it to us 10 days ago, and in the past months we have not had a similar report from anyone else.

I have told him twice now NOT to use the software until such time we can provide him with a version that traces exactly where these bets are coming from, as we have a lot of other issues and other customers, however he is still insisting on using the product and posting stuff we already know about on the forums.

We experienced an issue between 14:12:30 and 14:13:00 this afternoon which would have resulted in the behavior you have described, but there were no further issues after this time.

We believe that the issue was caused a load balancer problem and we'll be taking remedial action to correct this.

3 things I saw:

1 - You (Geek) saw on the other thread

2 - A kind of freeze market that doesn't allow me to see normally the stake on the ladder. Also, maybe related, happened once ( other market, no print-screen ) I was watching outdated prices. I closed and opened again and, pling, my stake was matched and I didn't know.



3 - This button is not updating my stake

i found a small bug, let say that i put 50 usd on the market, the market just shows 49, the bet is actually taken as 50 but it only shows 49, if i put 1000 usd it shows 978 usd on the market, the bigger the amount, the bigger the difference.

I tried putting a bet on the betfair site and the same thing happend (if i put 50 usd the market only shows 49), so is not a problem of the toy, is a betfair issue

Re 2, there were a couple of reported Betfair freezes between 2:12 & 2:25 UK time today. Did this happen then? If not, can you please send the second pic to support@geekstoy.co.uk as it's reduced in size here.

Thanks for clearing that up as the Helpdesk are clueless and am told to just report these things to you. Don't know about everyone else but im getting a bit pissed off with Betfair, Tuesday a race didn't go in-play. The first two days I had multiple lock-ups (before i ceased trading for a few days) had increased latency... and still get the increased latency now when the market becomes more active, having used other software's it has been the same for me there.

Can you confirm if this is the new API or not as I've been informed its all software related and the changeover has been seamless with very little issues and im in a minority, the majority of customers are happy. Im not sure if they are just taking the majorities silence as happy or what? (if your not, let them know)

Helpdesk don't have access to API issues or knowledge so im to ask my software vendor.

Really pissing me off how things can go wrong and they just say 'yeah was a few freezes reported'? if things are being reported that did not happen previously its obviously running like a sack of shit and not all 'software' to blame.

Well they confirmed the 1st one was definitely them.

Nothing on the second { 2:30 }, however you weren't the only one to report it so for now I'm assuming it's them.

And everything I have seen to date says the calls times do increase at the business end of a race and when it's in play.
