hello good morning! i go report 1 problem with my bad english so 1 even start ex: 23:30 i open my geeks on the 00:15 after i go to yesterday market to open the event 23:30 but the geeks says no events yesterday can you see fix this problem thanks!!!!

Having used 1.3h for a good few days now i have a few obsertvations.

Tickoffset is still delayed anything up to a second, i'd say half the bets hit ok, half have a delay.

Tickoffset still misses the odd bet - nowhere near as bad as 1.3g - but it has just missed 3 bets in the 14.10 at Southwell.

I get odd freeezes - whether this software or API I don't know.

Is there any way we can customise Geekstoy so that we can determine what calls it makes, therefore prioritising calls like tickoffset that take a high priority - and maybe disabling some calls that I don't need, therefore making room for the high priority calls?

At the moment we believe the lock ups to be API related, as when they generally surface on the forums, more than 1 user reports it. However lock ups are the worst issue to track down, because anything from your wifi, router, broadband provider, key node on the internet between you & Betfair, or Betfair themselves can be the cause. There is also the potential for something in GT to cause this too, though whilst we don't believe this is the case ATM with the reports we've had, we obviously can't rule that out either with the amount of work we've done.


The Tick offset issues based on the reports we've had we believe at this time are API issues too, but again we can't rule out something in GT. We will be putting some bet logging in the next release which will help nail down exactly what's happening there.

dont remember if anyone already mentioned this: sound warning ''bet matched'' not working when bet is matched when i press hedge on p&l column. on all other cases sounds works fine, just from p&l column no sound

From Betfair @ 17:08 on the recent Australian issues.

We believe that these error were caused by the issues that we identified with our AUS severs last week,

The root cause of last week’s issue was identified as an incorrect config being applied to some of the recently introduced AUS servers which caused them to fail under load.

The AUS server config has now been updated and is on par with that used by our UK servers. This will therefore resolve the issue of the type we experienced last week.

Im getting pretty concerned about this now.... since the start of racing and original post it seems to be getting even slower. Bets going in a full second after placing them. Latency is spiking regularly again too. Any ideas when the new release is?

Having slowness issues like Chuck. Not anywhere near as bad as Aussie API on the weekend but have noticed that my CPU usage is spiking at 50%+ when it rarely goes above 10/15%. Everything then grinds to a halt.

Machine has 16MB Ram and only Excel and Chrome running as well, so I'm guessing this should be more than enough. Not had machine slowness issues before.

Was the CPU usage for your PC, or just the toy?

The CPU usage was for my machine. Have shut chrome down now and restarted and it seems to have improved.

So hopefully, may not have been a toy issue - cheers!

Tip. If you sort the processes tab of the task manager by CPU usage, you can see what it is that's spanking it and / or GT processor usage.
