OK Just in case we haven't shouted it loud enough on here.....

If you are a pre off trader, DON'T LET YOUR FECKING TRADES GO IN PLAY.

    EVER!

    GOT THAT!

    YOU WILL BLOW YOUR BANK!

    LEARN TO ACCEPT YOUR LOSSES!

Oh, and withdraw everything from your bank bar £10 & trade with that. If you can't make money with a tenner you won't make any with £100, £1000 etc. The losses are going to hurt much less whilst you learn.

    What's new in version 1.2

As an intro more info about me at http://tradergray.blogspot.com/ if you can be arsed to have a look. I’ve been lurking these boards for a week or so and know that one or two of you may have seen the blog and may even be subscribers.

I’ve been trading for about 4 years, used BAB first and lost 2 banks, then BR trial (didn’t like it, only using 1 hour of my 200 hour trial), then subscribed to BAP for 2 years, lost 2 more banks the first year but none since! I guess I am making progress.

I really enjoy trading and treated it more like a hobby than anything else but thought I should try and make some cash out of it this time last year and started the blog above.

Bit of been there done that got the t-shirt etc, yes bought shedloads of crap information in my early days, been on PW’s course and had been a staunch supporter of both Bet Devil Pro and Adam (Heathcote).

A bit of despondency set in during the summer 2009 and I took a break from trading to re-assess my abilities and examine my (many) faults.

I found out about The Toy via a blog I follow and it rekindled my interest so I’ll see how it all goes, I’m impressed with The Toy, it seems to suit me, I seem to suit it and the community looks great.

Anyway, I’ve probably bored you to death so that’ll do for now.

      Cheers

perhaps an option for any new releases.... auto close when switched to inplay, and another which is optional= no inplay.

          Word.

Happened last week so went down to £2 stakes. Now there is a certain joy in securing a £0.05 profit!

i often trade the usa markets in the evening, using £5/10 or £15 stakes usually on the fav as this is where the money is, i get in and out repeating as many times as i can, from £5 i take upwards of £1 or £2 if using the higher stakes, or some time totally scratching and taking a £0 or small loss.

i have even traded using £3 stakes, repeated a few times that 0.06p soon becomes 0.12, 0.24 and with comes the confidence to up ones stake as you learn the markets.

another thing to do is trade on first 3 favs, i know someone who does that, will be all green on them and £0 on the others, his assumption if one of the top 3 will win and he will pocket a larger sum than by hedging.

Thanks for the info. £0.86 up today so far all green. I call that 3 fav thing a dutch hoof. i do it occassionally just to have an excuse to watch the racing as i trade with the telly off. I hate the USA markets as it seems totally unpredictible! (to me anyway.)

                      Hi I'm New and a Newbie !!

We all have a story here's mine...

Have been living the lazy expat life in Turkey for the past 7 years (I'm 50 and retired early). I am startig to get bored with nothing to do (yeah its true doing nothing for a living is mind numbingly boring) and thought I would look at the gg's for a flutter or five...

Anyway long story short you cant gamble in Turkey, its against the law, so I couldnt open any bookies accounts etc but during my search for a way to get around it, I found some stuff on sports trading, and have decided to head back home (to the UK) where I will be able to do the things I choose to.
I had a narrow escape (after watching blaggers make a fortune sitting by the pool videos) as I had pretty much decided to plump for BR Devolution, and luckily stumbled across The Toy and this excellent community where I learned the truth about the 'others' by reading through all of the posts.

So a couple of weeks after first looking here, I decided to join and say hi to you all. I plan to return to the UK March or April time, and will be playing for pretend money until I am confident enough to have a go for real. I cant even play for pretend money from Turkey as I am unable to open a betfair account, so I have to be content to play on their website and just assume I would have been matched.

I dont know if I should download TT yet as I wont be able to use it without a BF account, but I dont want to miss a chance to get it while its available <----- some pointers here please

So thanks to The Geek for making it and for FREE, what a decent person, and from the looks of this forum, the help is 100% (win win I would say)

Looking forward to becoming part of your community and learning from the wise monkeys here.

                      Cheers

                      Jamie

                        another 'L' plate merchant

Greetings, I have been on the edge of trying to do something like this for some time. My problems are many. one is, i'm crap on computers - and if i was one of Rachel Welch's triplets i'd be the one being fed by bottle!!!! - i'll ask many and various stupid questions in the fullness of time but this is my first one: When you ones that actually make a living at this start work what must you have to hand. I mean like computers, reference books , newspapers, t.v's - i am assuming that you work every day and start in the morning( which may be wrong anyway) I basically want to know what an average day for you is like. Thanks for the input people

Not sure if anyone is going to read this post but heres how i started gamling .
About 2 years ago i bought something on eBay ,it was called "make money online with no risk " for about £2 from guy called Richard .It was about taking advantage from bookies sign up bonuses .I knew nothing about gambling, and didnt even know how to place a bet !But with Richards help i made a lot of money ! Thats how i started to think that there was more money to be made in gambling, since then,i cant let it go,i keep trying to make money with gambling, tried horse racing and greyhounds, bought 100,s of eBooks and spent a lot of money on them, but sadly with no much luck . So now i want to try trading, heard stories how people make a living from trading.I want to become one of them, and i hope people on here with get me going to the right direction.
