I got a bizarre one today too.... come to the end of trading and looked at my balance and was down 256.41 .... was like wtf??? started to look through the matched bets in a blind panic thinking how is this possible everything was closed out properly.... couldnt find the bet... the exposure was still viewable but no open bets?? phoned betfair in a bit of a flap thinking id lost a packet instead of making a bit for the day... operator was pretty useless, passed me onto the investigations team, they couldnt work out where i was exposed.... phoned me back 10 mins later and said dunno what the issue was but the exposures cleared and the moneys back in yoru account.... odd

exactly same happened to me yesterday ! and it was about £250 missing....i was trying to find unmatched bets, matched bets on all markets, found nothing !

I was sure I had NO bets placed, matched or unmatched.....
about 5 min's later exposure was back to 0 !

wtf...now i see I wasn't alone....strange, very bad feelings......

Very interesting.... i was in a right flap thinking i'd left 250 somewhere unmatched and it had gone IR and matched/lost.... would be interesting to see if anyone else experiences it

Happened to me tenths of times along the last 5 years.

It had been always due to unmatched bets that's got canceled upon market suspension, but whose exposure for some reason, were leftover in the system, same system that took care to cancel them automatically in the first place. sometimes it takes just a few mins to see the exposure vanishing, other times I have to wait till the end of the event (footie matches usually).

in the latter case (which means that I wait 5 mins tops and if my money is not back there...) I always pay a phone call to BF desk to have confirmation that no exposure and/or losing bets are charged to my account.

everything had always worked fine in the end so far... which does not mean it's something one shouldn't care that much about, or that it won't get worse in the future...

Happened to me also several times. But I have always found the bets in Betfair > My Account > Current Bets > Lapsed/Voided bets.
