  • Which sport

I am now beginning to make a bit of headway into horse race trading ( making between £5-10 a day). I have two questions to ask-

Q1 Which sport should I try next- I am thinking football tennis or cricket?

Q2 Would you pay for any advice or learning materials either a one off or monthly subs?

    Cheers guys

    Steve

    1. try sport you have knowledge about, if you dont have clue whats going on and what prices should be, its shure recipe for disaster

    2. why you wanna pay for something that you can find all over internet for free

There is no substitute for watching and researching markets then sitting back and seeing how the action is reflected in the prices. As Kawa says there is no need to pay for anything, certainly not a monthly fee!!

football is probably the most stable.... pre match prices can be impacted by team news or previous results. so you can grab ticks before game begins. And you also know for sure that prices of unders and 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 will come down as the game progresses without any goals being scored. I use stats a lot for football trading. H2H previous results, amount of unders overs games, home/away form and goals, time of goals there are no end of stats you can use to form an opinion.

As already said there are many so called "pro traders" willing to impart their wisdom for your cash. most are just going to peddle videos that show them making huge amounts that look easy. There are some I would recommend but I wont post names on here, I have been to see a couple and they were both a waste of time and money.

Best to watch markets, learn about the sport you want to trade in and just experiment with strategies. There are plenty on here that others use. None are perfect but some will give you an edge.

Tennis is a bit more volatile and you really need to be watching or have a scoreboard with fast refresh to grab opportunities on breaks or on serve.

Cricket requires different approaches for Test match, ODI and T20. Test matches your money can be tied up for 5 days so use small % of bank to keep you liquid for other trading

Ok thanks for the replies guys, seems pretty clear that there is no substitute for time in the markets. And out of my list I know most about football, so I think I will start off small with that then.

@scotty I have still the email you sent me a while ago, when I asked you about trading, appreciated it thanks
