Yes i'm aware. if they've showed no presence in previous races and stroll along it's also possible i have an open position that i either stand to gain a lot of ticks or lose a few, i'm not sat here 24/7 with fake money on both sides of the book or anything like that, the risk is low for me to get caught in this way, nothing i can do if it happens first time off like that and so i'm not bothered by it for better or worse. at least thats the emotional approach i'm aiming for

If you're wondering about the big stakes punter, from what i've seen in the previous couple weeks they've laid a few selections, they've been typically backing a fav at 6/4 and under but when a price is 2/1 or 3/1 fav hes come in and laid for the same liability, so only around 8-10k lay but it still is very noticeable, also clearly they have clearly learnt about getting bets placed more effectively and i'm pretty sure he's placed bets in 2-4 chunks before with a little time interval inbetween. also if its the same one from 2014 he laid a 7.0 selection in November for 14k (80k+ liability) which chuck(caanb) posted up on his fb here, although i suspect it was probably somebody else

Nice to see you trying to assist me now although i actually mentioned this in the very first Days post which i'll quote below. i'll try to stop provoking you now evil, but you should understand that you have lost my respect and probably any influence you may have had over my trading decisions..

Then along came the crazy punter, if not a punter i'm guessing it was a trader who perhaps got caught on that 17.45 race and started chasing losses afterwards. either way, they were risking £20,000 to £50,000 in the next 5-10 races. They were clearing out 15 ticks with this genuine money from nowhere race on race which was pretty hilarious to see. after a couple races i caught on and made a few quid but the first couple moves got me on the wrong side

Can't speak for others, but as far as I'm concerned you are very welcome. It would be great if you could keep this thread going.

social obligations again so not many markets [16], wasn't caught out with any aggressive moves again today and thus a clean side of losses, which felt unusual possibly because it was a small data set. have to say again the views at Perth were really nice and as silly as it may seem im sure this nice atmosphere & sunny scenes of ppl enjoying themselves keeps me in check/grounded

perspective is shifting from what i set out to do, set out to be helpful but may just try and achieve that in a different way in the coming times, sry if i disappear for a while

he's rustled me, thus the comment. given the same situation again i'd probably respond the same way. i'm just trying to be frank/honest in a way that allows me to keep my mind open and move forward rather than if i didn't write those comments it would probably be rattling away inside of my subconscious thoughts and would transfer over into some trading mistakes. that's how i think my personality is at right now - granted, i'm constantly trying to adapt for the better and be mindful but for now i saw venting it out in a post as the best option.
my apologies if i don't meet some standard you yourself believe you would meet

Ditto. Not sure why others have taken exception to your challenge.

                    +1

Having said that, if posting this challenge is going to negatively affect the OPs trading psychology/focus, I understand his reluctance to continue... It would seem to defeat the purpose...

Awesome, I have 1500 bank but I dont dare to risk more than 30% bank, you risk 100% your psychology is pretty good. Most of the race is scalping, did you read any horse form? I know just a bit knowledge of horse from Mr Caan guide. First day I lose 150 then I use 50$ and most of the time I scalp .
