  • Temujin - From the brink

Started a blog for a focus point, and somewhere to get my thoughts and frustrations down, and some goals. All welcome to have a look. Not a blogger so not really sure how to set up the page and all that, but that will all come.

      I'll certainly be following it.

IMO some of your posts on this forum were very influential.

Staying happy and keeping in the game are the main thing .

      How did Dothkari fare btw???

          Cheers Temujin,

I'll certainly be following your writings. A blog is an amazing tool to put your thoughts in perspective. When I started mine two months ago I never thought I'll be able to evolve so much in my own trading... Just by forcing myself to write what I thought at those moments.

          Best of luck!
          Kind regards,
          Pedro

            Good luck.
I know you state money, that you may or may not have won, is unimportant and it's true, it's no business of mine anyway, but I think it would be worthwhile for the benefit of your blog followers to say your starting bank for this 'comeback'. All the best with your trading and with the birth of the baby.

Great to here from you again Temujin.

              I like the bit:

then for some reason layed SL after they lost a couple of quick wickets as I started to think that maybe the pitch wasn’t as good as I first thought. Obviously the price crashed after a couple of runs so I dumped that

it sounds so familiar, I have the same ability to destroy a very good profit.

I'll follow your blog regularly - I've had to create a folder with all these blogs I'm following now.

Given your huge success, I have no doubt you'll make it happen. Good luck with the house, baby, wife, job, dothraki, etc etc etc.

Dothraki was all set for the Magic Millions and looking good but blood work was down and an infection was found. Was put on a course of penicilin (I think) and was not allowed to race, so put out for a short spell. The fav for the race was scratched, and it was expected he would put a huge showing in to taking it out, but obviously left with no prize, and a ****ing vet bill

It has recovered fine, and is expected to start a run at the Golden Slipper on the 6th April, I believe worth 3.5 million, and all going well (****ing horses who knows) should be running early March in a listed race hoping to qualify, or another race 2 weeks before the Slipper which I believe to be a G2.
The camp has huge hopes for the horse, just need it to start paying off.

I believe I have already stated, but I am merely a shareholder, and have a 5%only stake in the horse, so will not see most of the prize money, but of course it is all relative to what we put in, right? I still believe that I have every right to call it my horse, with no misintention. The horse is listed as a syndicated horse, and runs in the Triple Crown Syndication colors. Disclaimer ends here.
MY horse will make me money, and provide me with a lot of fun.

As always my starting bank is varied. I do have money still in accounts, and am prepared to put the lot on an arb if it comes my way, but for pure speculative trading purposes, I will be using a 1,000 dollar bank, and tbh will have not much more in my BF account for quite some time.

I have a small buffer obviously if things go pear shaped, to cover the mortgage for a few months, but will certainly not be risking more than 1k until I am a little more comfortable and have built my bank up quite a bit more. Is not a case of what I make I add to the bank, it is a case of I am way under where I am comfortable, so what I make for now I live off, and save to where I am in a position to then build my stakes up.

So the answer to your question, is 1,000 AUD is the bank I will be trading with.
