Voided bets in football

I traded Sunday’s Valencia - Deportivo La Coruna late match, I had an open back position /not a big deal/ in play several ticks above the draw market, score was 2-1. The market suddenly moved pretty much up, my bet was matched, than 3-1 goal was scored on my TV, which was several seconds behind and finally the market was suspended. So obviously BF failed to suspend the market immediately after the goal. I accepted that nevertheless and when the market was up again I was about to red up to save part of the bet at least. At the same time I realized, that my balance looked like the bet wasn’t matched, although GT indicated that it was. So I went to the BF web, where I found that the matched bet was voided. Good for me, didn’t experience something like that in football so far. I had to close and open the market again in GT to obtain correct data. So no loss after all, but hedge lay wouldn’t be the best, considering the final result 3-3…… Any experience with voided bets in football?

I've had five or six cases earlier this year my trades have been voided because the match was abandoned for various reasons, including the one where they had the riot in Egypt and where that guy collapsed with a heart attack in the game between Tottenham and Birmingham (?). In all but one of those cases I was greened out, so although I lost the oppotunity for the winnings it was nothing compared with riots and heart attacks.

In most of these cases Betfair have held the market open for a few days before returning the money to all accounts.

I've never had that happen on a game that ran to completion though.

This is a bug in the application which should be fixed in the release due very soon.

Interestingly looking at the code, the bug has always been present, but never reported in nearly 3 years. Then in the space of a week you & somebody else reports it.
