  • Anyone taking on Frankel???

Is this market over confidence? I know his record but is there any reason to oppose? Has he won at Ascot before?

  • #2
At those odds I won't be backing. However, I don't think I'd ever lay Frankel either

    Looking forward to the race.

Why don't we all join forces and take him on? Let's smash these backers back to 1.25 before rounding on them .

Doubleback what does the 200 day MA say?

Pretty hot today and Ascot very noisy. Could he get over exited in the build up?

13 pounds in hand on the field according to ratings. Excelebration put in next best under Joseph O'(Dear) Brien. The rest have even more to find.

The forecast pays 8/13. Frankel is Evens to beat Excelebration by 5 lengths or more. He slammed that rival in the Lockinge but it's questionable as to whether or not Frankel will be ridden out fully - it's just as likely for Queally to get there and win cleverly.

I would like to get an updated going report (Good to Soft this AM) but Worthadd could represent some each-way value at 40/1 1/5 123.

Strong Suit would not be a player if the ground is slow and the trip holds a few fears as well.

Enjoy the racing - it's top class fare all week

I've layed frankel at 1.14. Small liabitlity, 20€ hoping something goes wrong exiting the stall have a back bet at 1.35. Trying to win some ticks. Put some money on Excelebration at the place market at 1.4 ... and will leave it there. Trying to get things even if no movement happens on Frankel.... just hope Excelebration goes for the place

Hopefully he's gonna get boxed in for a furlong or two so we can get some action trading in play with him

Layed Frankel for place? In worst case scenario would do it for Excelebration but at 1.2x

Why not take him on? The ratings are a bit of a joke in reality, there is no way he is as good as the hype.

The reality is, this is UK racing, with UK jockeys. That being said, I doubt you could take that price about any horse.

There's every chance his rating is spot on after 10 starts. The media make the hype - the horse just keeps delivering.

Even if the Yanks didn't fancy it this time around (Soft ground, etc), I look forward to seeing how the likes of Ortensia and Black Caviar get on for those from Down Under.

UK racing is what it is. One thing is for sure, Royal Ascot is a great spectacle and it puts the likes of the Breeders Cup meeting firmly in the shade.

Spot on? His rating keeps improving every start, yet BC goes down after winning more than twice as many, untouched in all but 1 start? rotflmfao.. The ratings are a bit of a joke tbf....

Yes, that was very impressive. But much more impressive than any other run of his. Probably 5 lengths better. So what rating now? Seriously, they will have him rated 200 soon....
