That’s better, chuck. I would’ve put more amounts over £100 (I know what you’re thinking - why don’t you do your own bloody poll ). There are some of us who are quite keen to see a viable alternative to Betfair for obvious reasons, and may be prepared to pay our fair share to see this community have the software that offers that alternative.

MR Geek pls consider making TT for betdaq.
Im trading on dogs and on betdaq i just saw on crayford race 10k pounds matched.Things are looking better and better there everyday.

I would be willing to pay £100 pound or even a monthly fee if the geek wanted to go that way.But can appreciate its a lot of time an effort to develop.

Others developed a betdaq version as everyone was shouting that they wanted it but when it was finished not many people actually used it.

They will be now and this is a good alternative.Whats saying people just crawl back to betfair after the furore dies down.

£8126.22 was raised for Comic Relief in one week. TG only wants 5k to take a week off and do the biz!!

I don't know how serious a figure of 5k is but would The Geek really do it for this amount?

          Is a totalizer in order?

I know Geekster has put in a lot of work to get AGT to where it is.
Here we are making further demands on top of new features and support.
It may seem to him that we are being demanding, to say the least!
If The Geek is up for doing it, names his price, sets up a forum Betdaq donation button,
funds are raised, then I think that sounds like a decent deal, everyones happy........

If people use Betdaq and put aside the money that would've gone on PC,
then TG will get his 5K in no time.

Perhaps we should start a new poll where the names of those voting are shown. Then if I do a Betdaq version I can ban everyone who doesn't cough up.

Didnt know that was possible.... if you can do it i'll happily vote.... having thought about it i'd probably donate a little more too.

For the time being I will stick to what I always believed to be the best way forward :

                        (i) the Toy becomes a subscription software,

(ii) the most equitable method of payment is by the payment of minutes used as was the case for the original BTP software.

Any Betdaq Toy would work on this basis too.

Some of us appreciate the Toy for what it is but some think it is their right to demand continued upgrading. Some people have displayed incredible rudeness here, particularly when The Toy did not work specifically for them. The words "please" and "thank you" are seen but rarely. These comments are not directed at any of the previous posters in this thread all of whom will have seen many rude posts themselves.

I suppose, what I am really trying to say is that nobody should try to compel the Geek to do anything. He has a business to run and only he should say what is to be done. Certainly, the comments made on the forum will lead him to believe that there is a demand for a new Toy. It is totally up to him if he decides to make one. I promise that I would pay a subscription for it and would do the same for The Toy, Betfair version. I was opposed to donations from the beginning although I will make one at the next event. I will "bite the bullet" and do something which I think is not very sensible.

I think we should all pay the same price for The Toy. Again, however, only the Geek, and he alone, should decide future action. His temperament and mine are totally different. If somebody told me to do something, I just wouldn't do it. Not ever. So, I think gentle encouragement will suffice.
