  • Gaelic Games ?

Any paddies (like me so not being racist) on here with an opinion on the Gaelic Games, Galway Vs the Dubs tonight looks to be a cracker.

I think Dublin are great value at 2.94 and considering a straight bet ? Any questions ?

Canning not fit and Galway with 2 others out with injury ? Dublin's best chance and Galway notoriously unpredictable , I think, nerves may be the issue but the fact the game is in Tullamore and not in Croker is in their favour.

Also Dublin superb in the air could dominate from early on as Galway are not as physically imposing.

Dubs won by 5/6 points, never really in doubt. Sweet 35€ @ 2.98

Ridiculous price for Dublin. I genuinely would have had them as odds on.

Yep, me too that's why I did a back rather than trade.

Armagh @ 1.75 now is a good bet to trade. Derry are serial underachievers and havent got the ammunition they are perceived to have. Gonna back Armagh and trade out now they have seemingly dropped the blanket defence tactics.

Armagh have better players and are now starting to use them. Get on @ 1.75 and get out @ half time as strange things happen @ haf time in the GAA.

Are you sure Dublin won the game ? Rumour has it that the teams exchanged shirts at half time.

Yep, Galway gave theirs to random people in the crowd. Galway hurlers, serious issues , loads of talent but bog warriors with attitude. Don't take this the wrong way Nigel but kinda like Welsh Rugby, underachievers, look at the Ospreys, loads of talent but a complete nightmare.

I used to be a rugby union fanatic but don't bother with it now. Professionalism has all but killed the beautiful game and I only watch Wales playing if there is nothing else to do. I was present at most of the famous games of the Seventies and saw magnificent rugby. We had friends who played top class rugby and we would get drunk with International players after the match. All that has changed. ( I couldn't get into my university team so I became their touch judge instead. I officiated in what I believe is one of the longest rugby matches ever played. Full 80 minutes, 20 minutes extra time, and another 15 minutes for "sudden death". The referee took pity on the teams and called it a draw. Refs could do things like that then. They were "the sole judge of the rules". My team won the replay and we were beaten in the final by Loughborough. We were beaten by one man. His name on the team sheet was Mickey Butcher. He was due to play for Ireland on the Saturday and shouldn't have been playing us on the Wednesday. I cannot possibly say who he was but, for the sake of convenience, I'll call him Ken Goodall.)

Derry 2 points up but Armagh look likely to score a goal at any time. Gonna stick with it for a while, no definite trend yet.

Looks Bad, Derry hungry and better. Oops, maybe that half time turnaround is needed.

PC, what do you think of 2/1 for London. Know nothing about them other than they pushed Mayo and probably have access to a few more exiles than they would have in other years.
