    hello ,

i made no change on hard or software.i have no programs working in the background and becouse of this ping-problem i made my system complete new yesterday.it has brought me nothing.

my connection is 32Mbit and this is the first time in 2 years betfair that i have this problem.i called my provider , they checked the system and said that everything is ok.

i have no w-lan just this modem and it goes directly in my pc-no phone or something on it.

this is short video from today with my ping :

    and here 2 screenshoots:

the message to betfair-gw.lnd.cw.net means not available.

problem ist everytime , it makes no difference that market is open , suspended or inplay.

if anybody can help me, would more than nice.i am totaly desperate.

    thank you

To do this you should type:

      ping ***.***.***.*** - t -l 1000

Press Ctrl+C to end this and see the results

You may find your main gate by typing "ipconfig" in command window
      - try a different router
      - contact ISP for line check.

yes thats the same like me.i think the problem ist on betfair but it would be very nice if someone here can say yes or not.

i made the next video with pingplotter:

here you can see that the big packet loss comes from this adress :

        ae0-1702 xcr1.fra.cw.net is this betfair ?

i have this problem , packet losses only when i go with ping-plotter to betfair.

other adress like google.com ... no loss.

          I don't think its betfair's problem.
I am connected to Malta and today API was ok
          all day as usual.

          xcr1.fra.cw.net maybe is for Betfair.

          db's, rockaren's and Lucky's photos (in Lucky's thread) say
          xcr1.lnd.cw.net.
Mine says the same (I am connected to Malta).
maybe lnd=london, fra=frankfurt? the rest is same.
          I don't know.

it can be frankfurt , becouse i am from germany.but the thing is what makes me a little bit thoughtful is that we are from different countrys , different providers same problem at the same time-in 2 years BF i never hade before this.

              yes logical assumption, strange indeed...

my mind goes around a router problem like in the thread above I told you.
maybe not so strange 2 ppl have router probs at the same time.

              Im confused.

try and the rest and then you can be 100% sure maybe about Betfair's fault.

                  - try a different router
                  - contact ISP for line check.

                  or email straight to betfair

Guys i think you should try another internet connection. Everyone should have at least one backup option in case the main one is broken. Me personally have three separate connections which can be used if necessary

                      yeah, i have two also.
once, i remember, i went to check in another dude's home to see what kind of ping i can have with his line (3rd different company).
maybe you should try it too GoKautoGo.

Already wrote in forums. I am sure its Betfair. My I-net is just too good to be from them. As I told you I am playing a game - Warcraft III - If there was a general connection problem i should feel it when I play - well i don't so its Betfair!

btw, your tracert last is xcr1.lnd.cw.net like all of us so far.

the fra.cw.net you said is before, at step9 in your photos.

I dont think this is betfair.

you can find the xcr1.lnd.cw.net everywhere.

Not had time to check the videos but this sounds like a similar problem that hit me a while back and lasted for a long time.

It only happened with Betfair but the problem was not with Betfair. There was an iffy connection on the route to Betfair at some Cable and Wireless hub or something. Can't remember the exact name of where the issue was.

Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done about it. It wasn't Betfair's issues and as it only affected a few people no one really seemed to fussed. The ISP couldn't do much bar raise the issue with Cable and Wireless or whoever it was.

Eventually it fixed itself but it took weeks. The solution in the meantime was to trade via a VPS, I would suggest you look at Tagadab, they used to offer a £1 trial for a week so worth checking out to see if this work in the meantime.

Sorry I can't be of much more use.
