I am genuinely sorry that you feel you have reason to resign as moderator. If I remember correctly it was you who introduced me to The Toy. A lot has happened since then, not all of it for the better. Thank you for your contributions both here and "over the road".

I have never done anything to the detriment of this forum. At times, I acted as Devil's Advocate in order to stimulate debate and I was successful in encouraging others to post , the moreso when I teased/provoked them.

I am retired and have more time than most which allowed me to assist a great many people in using The Toy. The more technical aspects were obviously beyond me and I left that to others. I tried hard to be helpful to as many people as I could. Other members, jibiko, Knight Rider, Firkinelle, Ron, timstertoo, Quo, Millionaire Fund, Temujin, and many, many others did the same.

I exiled myself following a period of sustained abuse by one member, as I was perfectly entitled to do, and, I am told, because of this, I was banned. In fact, I am now probably going to have the distiction of being banned three times from this forum very soon now.

I was biding my time to make a contribution at the next scheduled period. This despite the fact that I upset the Geek by saying that I thought donations were no substitute for regular subscriptions. I wanted all members treated equally regardless of how much money they could afford to donate. I could not contribute at the last charity thingy as I had no acces to the forum or to The Toy. Yesterday I found that I am again denied access to The Toy so I am in a bit of a Catch 22 situation. Seems, I can't win.

I made over 1300 posts to this forum. The fact that they remain has to be an indication that they were not all rubbish. It was pleasing to see some of my work referred to in a recently constructed blog. It's a pity we cannot all start over again but that isn't going to happen.

Nothing to do with you old chap. I made some changes to the server code yesterday, and you not being able to use it was an accidental side effect of that. I have now moved the forum account linked to your Betfair account to this one so it should work again. { But once again, instead of just asking me about it, here's a new crusade to go on. }



What you seem to miss Nigel, is you're a fanatical, miserable old sod who is always looking for a crusade to champion. Every time I say something you don't like, off you go on a little crusade / self exile.

You also just have to get involved in just about every bun fight that crops up & you rub people up the wrong way. Over time I have had cause to speak to you on numerous occasions over things, and enough was enough.

As for the banning, if you can cast your memory back to when you posted the following comment on the Betfair forums, this comment alone is enough to get you banned from here

"I didn't have the opportunity of making a contribution as I had already been banned at that time. The charity contribution thing is a total nonsense as it assumes that people do not contribute personally to these causes and need to be prompted to do so. When I give money to charity I don't expect to be given a medal for doing so. The only genuine way to help any charity is to do physical work for it or donate one's own money. Collecting other people's money and giving it is simply pathetic."

I am not the establishment Nigel, I am a bloke with a forum & some software who has better things to do than waste his time on you!

You want to post here on sports or trading topics, feel free to contribute. If you want to go on crusades, pick fights with people yada yada, go do it somewhere else.

Whether you get banned from this juncture purely depends on whether you can STFU or not. { I'm guessing not. }
