  • Game Theory (not for the faint hearted)

Game theory can be very useful in trading and I'm starting to get into it a little bit so thought it's worth sharing.

    (from wikipedia)
"Game theory attempts to mathematically capture behavior in strategic situations, or games, in which an individual's success in making choices depends on the choices of others."

Yale university has provided a free video course on iTunes

You can download 30 hours of lectures in 24 parts

I haven't really scratched the surface yet but from what little i've seen you'd have to be very interested in this sort of stuff to justify watching it as it's very heavy going.

I still remember walking around like a zombie after a bad LSD voodoo party once I started to metabolize the first 3 chapters of the Von Neumann and Morgenstern stodge...

and the exam was just 3 weeks away... jeez.. a lifetime ago...

I'll give 'em a try though (the vids), just to feel as a freshman again if nothing else...

btw: I should still have that doorstop somewhere...

I've been listening to these in my car if they are also by Ben Polak. Very interesting stuff.

I've downloaded a couple of gigs of lectures about various subjects, just finished 8 hours on critical decision making. I find it very usefull.
If it wasn't for physics and law enforcement I'd be unstoppable!

Funnily enough I'm way more interested in that stuff now then I was back then too. Funny how motivating money can be.

So unnecessary. It's the internet, I should be allowed to pretend I have a car!

Bah not my lucky day. My fake plants just died because I forgot to pretend to water them.
