Tagadab are quite good, I know quite a few people use them, they are what Bet Devil use for their VPS package. Tagadab offer windows or Linux and a cheap trial period:

Fully customisable UK Dedicated Servers, Cloud and VPS Hosting with AMD Ryzen & Intel Xeon processors. UK data centres with 24/7/365 support.

Ordered VPS 14 days ago from https://www.itexpertsltd.com/index.php and it
is now down more than 24 hours.

They send me an email yesterday....

A staff from OVH intervened on our server and mistakenly reformatted the server wiping all data and drives including every single piece of information on it.
This means to you that all your data has been lost. Unfortunately our backup system did not provide any recovery as the backups hadn't been taken offsite yet.
We do understand that your data and business has been offline since this unfortunate event happened. However we will be applying credits to your account and you will be paying us next on the 30TH DEC 2010 ONLY. All invoice will be pushed.
At the same time the node will be rebuilt and you will receive your details in the morning.

they offer me 2 weeks for free...and no details in the morning as they said

        ITexperts is the name.....LOL

TG, did you had any issues like this ?
TG, is this site on a VPS ?

          This site is on 1and1s lowest spec dynamic cloud server. { £29.99 + VAT per month. 1 Processor, 1gb RAM, 100gb HDD}

In essence it's an upgradeable VPS, although site traffic would need to be over 5 times what it is now before I need to think about increasing the processor cores / RAM.

They do a VPS too from £14.99 + VAT per month.

They also do a dual core dedicated server for £29.99 + VAT a month which may suit you better.

In either companies case { ST used fasthosts as do I for a back up cloud server } never had any issues with the support / bandwidth / service.

BTW Racing Traders server issue last year wasn't anything to do with Fasthosts, it was caused by poor programming & configuration by the original developers of Betraider.

The .com site is US hosted I believe and bills in $.

The server I purchased from the .co.uk site is located in Germany but billed in £.

If you want to be billed in Euros and speak German, http://www.1und1.de

              Ditto

You get the point I think.

I recommend Linode (they have a data center in London), excellent support & community. Also, ping (getmarketprices) to Betfair is about 7-12ms.

Check out Amazon EC2. This is what I'm currently using. You get a free Linux instance (613 MB RAM, 10+5 GB storage, 15/15 GB bandwidth) for a year. If you need additional resources, it will cost a couple of $ or cents per month. When you store data on Amazon S3 they automatically replicate it across different data centers and they do something similar with your VPS hard drives (they call them EBS volumes) as well I think. So your data should be safe.

Also, ping to Betfair from Ireland (they refer to it as EU West) is about 23-29ms.
