  • E-mail about Betfair Trading Courses

Anyone else get one of these??

There appear to be two courses - Advanced Sport Trading and API Trading Software.

Free day, free food and drink - Would be interested to know if anyone else is thinking of going??

    Be lucky

(Edit - E-mail came from Betfair themselves)

That being the same company that recently launched the Investment fund thing that Tony Hargraves aka (B)adger is involved in?

One of the comments interestingly refers to 'a (B)adger' you use as your edge...

Also as one of the comments suggests, try Googling "Centuar ASA"

Then there is this thread that shows the Brochure they send out - hmmmm

We're a friendly community of MoneySavers sharing our experiences and tips to help each other out

Also, seems they have branched out into racehorse ownership:

    And also Greyhound ownership:

These are something that Betfair have me booked into to do a presentation on the toy. Although it looks like since this thing was announced that somebody may just be throwing their toys out of the pram about that.

Care to explain a bit more about what it is we are talking about?

Is it an open event for all vendors or something being run by them only for Betfair?

          Link Removed at Betfairs request.

EDIT: NOTE: I have been informed that these events are invite only and anyone booking via my forum will have their place cancelled.

From what I can ascertain Betfair have contracted them to do these courses on their behalf, and our favourite PR disaster & forum spammer appears to be running them. So no bias there then.

If you look at the homepage
you see no courses or whatever but a lot of testimonials. You can also read:
"Over the last ten years, our analysts have developed a wide range of analytical systems and strategies that provide them and their clients with a real edge, a genuine competitive
              advantage, when trading."

Oh an old company but the domain is registered last year:
              Creation Date: 14-aug-2009
              Expiration Date: 14-aug-2011

My conclusion is, stay away from this brothers!
Betfair is not the answere, it's the question.
              ....and the answere is NO!!!

That would be my conclusion at first glance, however these are free courses being run on Betfairs behalf, so hopefully you wont get spammed with the usual amount of shite we've come to know and love from their numero uno trainer.

So I would suggest at least give them a chance and not let past prejudices get in the way until there are some bona fide reviews of the course to debate.

Numero uno or one and only trainer?

I have indeed. Although there are some interesting noises being made in Hammersmith at the moment to try & get me to do anything but attend.

I didn't mean have you been invited. I asked:

Not sure. Obviously the emails have been sent out to a target audience, but don't know if that would stop you from signing up for them though.

I always thought that if you are trading with someone else's money or you have someone else trading with your money the returns are taxable? So surely any returns from their fund would be taxable if what I have said were to be correct?

Also it looks like the parent company has been around since 29/11/2005 according to Companies House though I may have not interrupted it correctly:

Lastly I see on the Bet Devil forum that they are supposedly not regulated by the FSA.

Strange Betfair have joined up with them?
