I may look at it although I'm not sure which strategy to approach it with.

    Any ideas??

Indeed! If Labour win, then it's time to lose faith in the political system.

      What's new in version 1.2

I'd add that if the Conservatives win, it's time to lose faith in the human race!
        Short memories!

Presumably, you are not old enough to remember "the winter of discontent" ? This country has never been so low and I, for one, would not wish it on anybody in order to prove that Labour are corrupt and worthless.

If one is dull enough, one will vote Labour.

Apologise for adding to the debate. Politics should be a private thing and I never normally talk about it.

So how do you trade such a market?

            Surely it is slow moving?

There is on amazing story relating to the 1992 General Election. Labour were clear favourites to win it according to the opinion polls. Because of reporting restrictions and matters relating to impartiality, the TV and radio stations were prohibited from conveying exit poll results. Shortly after midday, I turned to the teletext page of William Hill and saw that Labour were 5/1 to win. I can remember telling my mother that the Conservatives were going to win the election and she telling me that I needed to see a doctor

Not only did the Conservatives win the election but they succeeded in obtaining more votes than any other party had ever received in a General Election.

The lesson I learned that day was to avoid political bets. Having said that there is one occasion that brings a smile. Screaming Lord Sutch was standing in a by-election in the town of Brecon, just up the road from me. The local bookmaker was offering odds against him securing 100 votes. The boys in the Blue Boar Inn had little interest in politics but felt that they could influence their friends and family sufficiently to bring about their own coup. They succeeded and the bookmaker was well and truly stuffed.

Party politics" won the 92 National prior to that years General Election so clearly there is something in picking a name for the big race. On the off chance there is a horse called "Giant Gonad" running on Saturday and it goes onto to win i would advise people to lump every last penny of theirs on Gordy to win the election. Thats my strategy anyway.

If Labour wins or it is a hung parliament it is time to sell your pounds and invest in magic beans - they will be worth a damn site more than the pound

If any attention is to be paid to the polls then leave that to the last week at the earliest imo. TV debates could be interesting but given that the 3 leaders will have had media training for such an event i be surprised if there are any gaffs and cockups from which to trade them. Could be a case of just waiting for the day and the results to start coming in before it will worth taking a punt. Worth having sky news on though when possible with their wall to wall coverage just in case Brown does a Prescott and punches someone whilst out on the campaign, assuming you have immediate access to a PC that moment might be worth seizing and placing a back bet on Cameron

More likely someone will punch Gordon though. Not sure how i would trade the winners market then....................probably a back bet on the person who punched him

I'd just like to add to this that the Lib dems are not going to win, and if teh Tories win it will over the next few years be a working class slaughter!

As I understand it the tory's have already said they will not keep the minimum wage up with inflation this is the equivilent of getting rid of it! so say hello the carer's on the equivilent of £3.00 an hour again looking after your loved ones and your sons and daughters working for the same when they leave Uni cus they can't get a better job! Thats if you can afford Uni for them ! If not they will be on that till the Tory's et voted out again!

By the way I say "equivilent" to £3 an hour i.e. inflation has risen to a point there the minimum wage is in real terms worth that! which it will!!!!

To add if GB Shakes a bobbies hand or not is not my concern the bloke is probably on £40K a year and doesn't give a toss who's door he's gaurding ! No offence KR :Thumbs
