Default Warrington Exchange Shop Closes.

The Sport Exchange Shop in Warrington is closed for business and has ceased operating as a trading shop for Sports Traders.

The shop was set up in Oct 2009 in an incubator unit within the Xpdia Building. The landlord Warrington2000+ encouraged the opening by funding some of the start-up costs by upgrading power and network wiring in the building. They also part-funded the desks, furnishings and supported the relevant Gambling license applications to allow the shop to open.

On 5th February 2010 in a bizarre action with no indication, reasoning, complaints or otherwise the landlord Carsten Kressel issued the company with notice "I hereby serve four weeks' notice on your occupation of suites 2 and 3/4 at the xpdia centre. Unfortunately, it has become clear that the business model of your company Sports Exchange Shop is not suitable for our building."

What was wrong with the business model Mr Kressel had previously endorsed? He would not explain. There was no negotiation, right of appeal or anything the Sport Exchange Shop could do to reverse the notice. From this experience I would personally advise anyone setting up a business in Warrington, dealing with Warrington2000+ or Carsten Kressel to tread with great care!

The cost of setting up a trading shop is considerable. The hardware, licensing fees, timescales, legal and red tape are onerous to say the least. Moving the Shop would incur duplicate start-up costs already spent less than 6 months previously. Unfortunately, relocation of the Shop was not commercially viable.

So....

This is my thank-you to everyone who got involved, for all emails, YouTube videos, wheatgrass shots, football & pizza nights, last fence Ffos Las fallers, pints in The Farmers, training courses, breakfast in the University and all the things that made the shop 'A hub of trading in the North West'. It was hard work and great fun, with people coming through the door visiting from all over Europe to join in.

This mail-list is tied to the Sport Exchange Shop. I will no doubt be launching a new venture or getting involved somewhere in the trading world, so if you want me to keep in-touch with you please reply to this mail and I'll bring you along on the next phase of the journey.....otherwise this mail-list dies and I shall say good-bye and wish you well....

Victor

Default Newsflash -- Betquack offers Betweasel commission kickbacks?

Unconfirmed rumours are circulating that Betquack PLC, a poor cousin to Betfleece PLC has recently done a deal with Betweasel PLC which involves a commission kickbacks, in return for higher profile advertising.

When asked to comment, self proclaimed mathematical genius Porky Webb said "Use Betquack".

In other news today, Betweasel PLC was found to be misleading it's forum members in the "Big Brother" signaturegate scandal. A few weeks ago, Betweasel without any notification pulled a specific members blog link from his signature for daring to promote a competing product alongside its own. The member re-instated their link and again a couple of weeks later without notification, Betweasel pulled all signatures. When questioned by the member concerned, a BetWeasel spokesman said said "We've had quite a number of complaints about signatures so we have temporarily disabled them while we review our policy. Sorry for the people that were using them properly, but it always seems the minority spoils it for the majority."

3 Weeks later, the saga is still running and rumours were circulating about Porky Webb's mental state, as he seemed incapable of making a simple decision in weeks. Full story on the Betweasel newswire.

A survey poll for Geek news 24 asked some of the BetWeasel forums most regular posters if they had complained about a signature, or seen a signature that warranted a complaint, and not one had seen such an occurrence.

When asked to comment, self proclaimed mathematical genius Porky Webb said "Use Betquack".

Default Newsflash - BetTrader Evolution free for 7 days.

In a desperate attempt to woo back lost customers, Racing Traders emailed people today offering BetTrader Evolution free for 7 days. To take advantage of the offer click here, and don't forget to add some humour to the questionnaire responses.

In other news this week, a return to the forum wars was narrowly avoided, when Blingo & Advert came under attack for figure skating. Although a few localised skirmishes broke out, full scale war was avoided.

And finally, self proclaimed mathematical genius Porky Webb was said to still be stumped after 6 months as to what tricks Bill Geek uses to make his product run smoothly on a Saturday, and significantly faster overall. Full story on the BetWeasel news-wire.

Default Newsflash - Blagger owns up to blowing his bank on credibility day.

In an unusual move Racing Traders director of spamming & customer abuse "The Blagger", finally owned up to blowing his bank on credibility day.

In a statement made on Friday evening on the forums Blagger said...

For those who don't get the joke, it's me. Last year because of my constant cock waving & slagging off of genuine traders, I was challenged to a trading (or gambling in my case) contest to see who could make the most money on four races. In a desperate attempt to win, I blew my bank on the first race. In order to avoid the public humiliation, I made up a story about going for a walk in the park with my 2 girls.

Total respect to Mikey though, as not only did he make me look like a complete fool, he also was the only person in the history of this entire industry to provide warts n all trading videos announced in advance, rather than ones they made earlier which always contained green screens.

I wish him all the best in his city trading job, whilst I'm scraping a living selling shite eBooks et al.

Then is an unusual u-turn Blagger removed his admission of failure on Saturday morning saying it had the desired effect.

In other news, an unconfirmed report suggested Dave "Jolly Green" Gollum was said to have kissed & made up with self proclaimed mathematical genius Porky Webb, after a lovers tiff last year when he & Sadam Reathcote set up a tipping service & didn't give Porky a cut.

Geek News 24 - Because trading would be dull without it.

Unconfirmed reports were coming in today that self proclaimed mathematical genius & gazillionaire Porky Webb was addicted to trading & money so much that he couldn't spend the afternoons / evenings of his family holiday with his family.

Default News Flash - Porky's alive!

At 1pm today, hospital sources say self proclaimed mathematical genius Porky Webb regained consciousness in intensive care. Groggy, still on the critical list and against all his doctors advice, Porky immediately discharged himself and took a taxi 20 miles home and was at his computer by 1:30 so not to miss out on the afternoons opportunities.
