I was trading the unders market for a while and felt happy with the way it was going but then I got stung twice in a short period which left me doubting football markets in general.
there so efficient that a small run of bad luck can leave you reeling.
IMO it's gambling in away because a quick goal can screw you up before you have the chance to get out, so your taking a risk that it won't happen.
sure you can be selective but you can't account for the unpredictable and if you have the luck that most of us have you will get stung sooner or later.
I'm yet to think of any certain edge you can obtain from football markets yet it won't stop me trading them cos it's the sport I know most about.
I have thought about other less popular sports to trade, I know there are wild swings in rugby and american football but I don't really know how to take advantage of them cos I know little about the sports.

i believe my knowledge is my edge, trading unders can be very profitable especially pre kick off, ive been making money on footy but i agree u can get stung big time. tennis and cricket has the best swings

You know your stuff and put that into your trading but it's the unexpected that screwed me up, I've had a couple of weeks off since cos it knocked my confindence and in that time off I've been thinking of trading sports that produce more spikes.
I did think a while ago about waiting for an early goal when the unders price starts quite low then backing the unders if it's scored early enough, don't think this would produce many selections but you could probably steal a lot more ticks cos the price will jump out but come back in very quick. What you think?

if ur trying this out try the german bundesliga 2 games, early goals have been flying in last few weeks.

I pick my trade's the night befor or at 7:00am that day and I moniter the price all day long. 99% of the time I dont need to go inplay at all. a few ticks in 4 or 5 games a day makes me more than enough. as im backing with £500 stakes. Sometimes ive seen 15-20 tick swings pre kick off.

not tried pre kick off. although i use as much info as poss on my selections I have only traded inplay so it leaves me open. will look into that more and also the bundesliga 2 tip.
it's more about the trader pre-off, thats why i don't touch the horses inplay (nightmare)
