Timeform radio will have some guy on air tommorow neil Munrow who is an inrunning guru by all acccounts, someone asked for advice via email and they stated that this guy is on and to direct questions to him, could be interesting.
Guy on timeform is talking a lot of sense, has been watching markets for years reads form, put one up on the 7.40 race backed to lay, his lay was sitting at 2.04 (uses this most of the time) but the lowest the selection went was 2.08 seen that happen loads of times..
Thanks for the replys everyone last day in work tomoz so hopefully the day after can do some in running choices so everyone can have a laugh might put them past ron first.
Sorry, looked at the video for a couple of minutes and turned it off. I couldn't possibly trade which such a confusing and muddled setup. I don't need a graph to tell me that a price has gone up or come down. I always look to simplify problems and not confuse them by having additional distractions. If graphs are of use to you, I'm happy for you.
I find it amazing that very large numbers of people clamoured for graphs/charts yet hardly anybody said that they were any good. I thought that too few people had expressed gratitude to the Geek for his work. I never wanted them and nothing has been written anywhere that convinces me that they are anything but useless. I am prepared to change my mind if you can show me a graph which predicts where a market is going rather than simply telling where it has been.
I cannot imagine that I am going to change my own views. I am totally happy for others to use them if they wish. It's all down to personal choice.

There we go, mention charts and along comes Colonel Custard, self appointed leader of the Anti Chartist League (A.C.L)!!! I didn't expect you to take the bait Nige!! ha ha ha! or lol lol lol!!
I watched the videos last night, dont have a problem as such each to their own and all that, tbh iwatched what was happening on the ladder, where money was etc and rarely noticed the graphs. and probably would have made the same moves as you did.

The strategy that I use is quite a simple one, I know it may fall on deaf ears (Colonel Custard) but I just look out for crossovers in the Moving Averages as this cuts out a great deal of the market 'noise', it is a slightly different strategy than the one that I use from Pre-Race but it works for me, as long as you keep your liability in check and can cut the losses then the rewards are high. I am a bit of an admirer of your knowledge of form btw...

What are your moving average periods for in running (how many seconds for the longer and how many for the shorter) ?
